Overview - The Managed 24-Port Gigabit Standalone Switch (DGS-3224TGR) by D-Link® provides all of the features you are looking for in a managed solution with a return on investment that will please even the most cost conscious network administrator. Its flexible port design provides 24 10/100/1000Mbps ports along with four Combo Gigabit SFP ports. Each SFP port accepts a variety of small form-factor pluggable transceivers for optical fiber connections, giving you more options for your network’s layout.
High-Performance, High Availability Layer 2 Switching
With a 48Gbps switch fabric and support for up to 16K MAC addresses, the DGS-3224TGR is a wire-speed, high-performance departmental switch. The DGS-3224TGR supports link aggregation to combine port bandwidth in data-intensive applications. Ports can be combined to create multi-link load sharing groups to a server or a network backbone. You can also use link aggregation to eliminate bottlenecks between cascaded switches. Investment Protection

This also maximizes compatibility with business-critical features such as Spanning Tree (802.1D/802.1w), QoS (802.1p), and Port Mirroring, along with network management features such as SNMP, RMON, BOOTP, Telnet, and Web. This robust support of standards-based network management protocols enables you to easily integrate the DGS-3224TGR into many third-party network management packages. Network management and administration is also simplified with the DGS-3224TGR Command Line Interface (CLI). This industry-standard CLI requires a lower learning curve, saving network administrators time and money. Additional management support is also provided through SNMP v1/2c/3, RMON, TFTP, Telnet, BOOTP/DHCP and a Graphical User Interface (GUI) for easy, visual configuration and monitoring. Port-based network access control (802.1X) requires users to log in with a RADIUS server authenticated username and password every time they access the network, preventing unauthorized individuals network access. The DGS-3224TGR also supports SSH2/SSL and SNMP v1/2c/3 for secure, encrypted switch management and monitoring.
